James L. Wangelin, BNAR Member, on being named in NYSARs Magazine as the State Political Coordinator of the Quarter for January through March. The State Political Coordinator program was launched in 2019 to connect REALTORS with New York State legislators in support of NYSAR’s advocacy efforts. REALTORS who participate in the program build relationships with elected officials in the state Senate and Assembly and educate them on legislative issues impacting REALTORS and consumers across the state. “Advocating to lawmakers to enact favorable real estate laws is essential for safeguarding people’s largest assets and protecting homeowners and landlords’ rights. Often, politicians overlook the significance of maintaining sensible laws that facilitate homeownership while neglecting the potential side effect of proposed measures.” Wangelin said.
