Highlights from the NAR meetings

BNAR President Kelly Spurlock and more than fifteen BNAR members proudly represented Buffalo Niagara REALTORS® at the NAR NXT Convention & Expo in Houston last week. NAR NXT brings together real estate marketing, expert-led education, and unmatched networking opportunities. As the industry’s largest trade show, it features hundreds of exhibitors and dynamic programming designed to keep REALTORS® at the forefront of the profession.
Keynote speakers included Matt Britton, CEO of Suzy, who shared insights on AI and creative thinking; Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, who discussed the sacrifices she made for career success; and Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec, who highlighted how real estate helps build generational wealth. Attendees also had a range of session tracks to choose from, including education, governance, business—and plenty of opportunities for self-directed learning.
Event highlights included:
-
Market trends – Staying up to date on the latest industry developments
-
Client management – Strengthening strategies to enhance client relationships
-
Interactive workshops – Participating in hands-on learning experiences
-
Innovative technologies – Exploring cutting-edge tools and platforms
-
Networking opportunities – Connecting with peers and industry leaders
A major moment of the conference was NAR’s update to its Strategic Plan, shaping the future direction of the organization.
And once again, congratulations to BNAR member Joe Rivellino, who was recognized during the General Session as the New York State REALTOR® of the Year—a well-deserved honor.
